I started your method with almost 10/10 grip pressure since then that was the only way I could keep  my wrist out of the swing and I believe I was doing well by my assessment. 
Now with practice daily in the last 50 days I can now play with 3-4/10 pressure.  But with this my wrists hinge with PATIENCE and PAUSE at the top. I refuse to pay attention to what the wrists are doing since I ain't gonna use them. Should I indulge this or I stop it? Please opinion and advise.
