Ross, New to the forum here. Using your method and having good success. Two questions. At times I have trouble with pulling shots. Is this because I'm letting my arms take over? Also is it helpful to feel like your giving an uppercut punch with your right arm during the swing to keep your body and arms in sync. Thanks Dave
Ross
Hi Dave
Great to hear of your success.

No arm or arms do any thing.  Especially, just one arm (right arm) adding something. I might have misunderstood you when I answered you in the Blog. I thought you were referring to how you were using your body's rotation (like a fighter might do) to add force by rotating (not one arm independently).  The shoulders control the arms/club on the backswing, then the body unwinds the arms/club back down and around to the left.  If you are using your right arm, that might be why you're pulling.  The arms are getting ahead of the body turn... or you just are not turning your body all the way to the finish, so the arms/club pass the body and the ball goes left.

Ross,
I've applying your method (at least attempting to) and am hitting it pretty solidly. However, as Dave above is experiencing, I'm tending to hit the ball left of my target (rarely right). With my driver, I've been able to compensate by purposely standing a bit farther from the ball and reaching a bit. But, with my irons I'm usually hitting left. Any more ideas? Thanks!

Ross
First... you never want to "fix" something by reaching out.  That's a 'trade-off"  and disconnects causing other issues (eventually)... and is not repeatable.

Here are some links to some discussions, comments and answers  we've had about the ball going left:

Most of the it's the little flip that can be gotten rid of by focusing on your rotation continuing through to the finish and not "pausing" or "stopping" at the ball...  Let the body turning bring the arms around to the left and to the finish.  [wink]
